This class fulfilled the Human Growth and Development requirement for my nursing major. In this class, we learned about different psychologists, such as Freud and Piaget, and how they studied human behavior, development, and patterns from childhood through adolescence. We read chapters from our textbook for homework and then went over important notes in class. We took cumulative tests that included helpful study guides which were uploaded online for us to work on the week before the test. Our final exam tested us on everything that we had learned throughout the semester.
This is the Three Ages Paper that we had to complete for the class. For this paper, we had to interview three different individuals who satisfied three different age categories. We questioned them to find out more about their cognitive, physical, and social development, as well as an area of interest that each student was able to choose. We then had to discuss each individual and figure out which psychologist and theory they most aligned with. The paper was complete with a conclusion and recommendations for future development regarding each child.
