Melissa Yeager has co-edited, with Charles Carter, a new book Pacts and Alliances in History: Diplomatic Strategy and the Politics of Coalitions. It is published by I.B. Tauris “The result of a unique collaboration by historians and political scientists, this book delineates, defines and assesses the idea of pacts and alliances as a key model of political organization.” It examines alliances from the fifteenth century to the present. The book consists of essays written by leading scholars in the field. In addition to editing the work, Melissa contributed an essay on the European Defense Community.
