Citizen 110: Ways of Seeing

Fall 2018

Professor Grabiec

This class focused on teaching students how to become citizen leaders by finding different points of view. We discovered that what Harper Lee has said is true. “You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view.” Everyone has had a different past, is living a different present, and will have a different future than you. It is so important to hear them out and give them a chance to prove or explain themselves before jumping to a conclusion based on something that happened in their past. As a citizen leader, it is your duty to stand up for those who do not have the power to stand up for themselves. This essay explains the harsh effects that plastic has on the environment and different organisms. While the birds that ingest this plastic have no way of ending plastic pollution, we do. We have the power to decrease plastic production and stop polluting plastic.
