Economics 218- Principles of Economics (Micro emphasis)

In Principles of economics: Microeconomics, I found the class to be traditional in its approach. Most days were simple lectures, but I did not mind that because the class was a great interest to me due to my major. I also absorbed a lot of the information because of the straightforward approach taken by my professor. Although at parts the class was a challenge, due to the large amount of questions on the exams. So I spent time studying for the test by reading over my notes and making sure that I understood the material.

I figured out how I learned in a certain capacity in the class because of the way it was structured. It was really just a lot of information coming at you that you needed to remember, but also understand how it functions. I found it kind of exciting to be learning about because of how it relates to certain business markets and how they are all connected in some way which was interesting. The class was my first real business class involving economics, which I thought was really cool because the way economics works is fascinating to me.

Why Law of Increasing Costs Exists

Artifact

I chose this piece as my artifact because it was written by my professor to explain the importance of increasing costs for our class and I thought it would easily make sense to anybody. It is just a simple idea that we went over in the class and I found it to have some merit to it for just about anyone who could ask “what is economics.” So to answer this question they can read the article and realize that it is a way of thinking. I think that is my greatest take away from this class because there are different ways of thinking and economics is just one of them.
