Dear Senior year Walton,
Congratulations on graduating from Longwood University. Now is the time to plan for the future. So to start off I just want to tell you to always remember you are a student and will learn a lot from others. Listen to them so you can learn and become wise. Next I want you to remember your compassion and how you use it to benefit others over yourself. Never forget that because it is one of your greatest qualities.
Always aim for your highest goals and pursue them to the best of your ability. Although you may fail in your pursuits, you will eventually learn from them. Failure is not the end of anything. You have to keep trying even against all odds because giving up has never been a quality you aspire to be. Have patience with people. They can be frustrating at times, but you have to push through it to become better and more sociable with people.
Never go against your values for any reason. Your values and beliefs should be of upmost importance to you no matter what life throws at you. Take care of your family and friends all the time, not just when it is easy to do so. It is what you are good at for a reason, even if at times you wish that you could quit. Be proud of everything you have accomplished and always push yourself to be better at all times in your life, not just the bad times.
You will be working an amazing job after college. Working towards the american dream of owning a house and getting married and loving your job just like you always imagined. It is gonna be a lot of effort, but I believe you can get there.
Sincerely, Walton Thomas Baines
