Conclusion

Overall, I believe that I have learned very valuable skills while taking Professional Writing. I have successfully constructed bad news and persuasive letters, where before I would have no idea how to go about writing one, especially not an effective one. It is very important to know and understand the all the C’s when writing professionally, and I feel like a have developed an understanding of these things, as well as demonstrated them in my writing throughout the course of the semester. AIDA is also a very helpful organization tip with writing letters. I have also learned how to make aesthetically pleasing brochures, and am now able to organize information in appropriate placements in order for consumers to be able to read with ease. I also learned how to write a press releases for products effectively. I understand that a press release relies on customer testimonials to sell from employees and customers I learned how to construct a formal report, as well as work efficiently in a group.  I have had to work in groups before, but never as much as this class. It really allows for one to practice communicating and expressing their ideas effectively to other people, as well as taking and giving constructive feedback to each group member. It is extremely crucial in today’s society that people can collaborate with other people. Almost every job today requires interaction with people in someway, and the teamwork in the class helped me develop my communication skills when working with other people. Upon graduation, I hope to implement these skills in any job I get, because all the skills I picked up in this class can be implemented in any job setting, and I feel much more prepared for the real world after taking this class. Thank you for a wonderful semester!
