Have you ever heard of getting your tubes tied? Well that’s the general alternative term for a tubal ligation. When a woman gets a tubal ligation, they have a surgical procedure that sterilizes the woman. It is a birth control method that permanently prevents a woman from getting pregnant. The surgical procedure either involves cutting, tying, or possibly blocking the fallopian tubes of women to prevent pregnancy (Tubal Ligation). Women tend to get the procedure because they or their husband feel like they’re done having children, for medical reasons, or because they do not want to have any children at all. And though this is a decision that women and their families come to they are being blocked by their physician on the grounds of their doctors believing they are too young, may want more children later, or a possible future husband may want children.
