Purpose of Session
- Inform members on the purpose of the session and the importance of being educated on what pregnancy stressors are
Current Understandings
- What do members understand pregnancy stressors to be
- Give handout discussing pregnancy stressors
Define Pregnancy Stressors – Source 1 & Source 2
- Talk about what pregnancy stressors are
- Facilitators will define pregnancy stressors into further detail
- Examples of pregnancy stressors
- What can cause pregnancy stressors
- The effects of pregnancy stressors
- Facilitators will define pregnancy stressors into further detail
Self-Reflection
- Identify personal stressors individually and rank them 1-5
- 1 – The least prominent stressor
- 5 – The most prominent stressor
Group Discussion
- Participants will hold a group discussion discussing their results from their self-reflection
- Facilitators will ask questions such as…
- In what ways do the participants’ stressors impact them? (mentally and physically)
- What can be done to work on improving the impact these stressors have on the participants?
Closing
- Facilitators will then ask if participants have any further questions or concerns
- Give members a brief introduction of what to look forward to at the next session
