Hello, and welcome to our SOWK 425 e-portfolio! Within this portfolio, the reader will be able to gain an understanding of the purpose of this group, the research done to prepare for group development and implementation, the SMART goals associated with group development, the carefully crafted group proposal, the outline of the eight sessions that will be utilized, supplemental materials, and assessment and evaluation materials.
The purpose of this psychoeducational group is to empower Ghanian adolescents and young women by informing them on topics such as pregnancy stressors, depression, anxiety, and the correlation between one another. This group will also focus on educating group members about positive coping techniques to navigate the difficulties of being pregnant in Ghana.
