Upon graduating from Longwood University with my BSW, I will be getting married and moving to Honolulu, Hawaii in the summer of 2022. I plan to begin pursuing my MSW at Louisiana State University (online) beginning in October 2022. I would like to specialize in social work practice in schools.

After obtaining my MSW, I would like to become a social worker in the education setting. I have an interest in working as an academic advisor, specifically with high schoolers preparing for college or students in community college. With a background in social work, I believe I will be well equipped to approach the job of assisting students during transitional stages in life with empathy and understanding, in addition to low-income students, first-generation students, etc.
