For this press release, my teammates (Grace Girdley and Amber Thomas) and I promoted our hypothetical Fit Fridge product. We followed the AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action) organization implemented the Eight C’s of written communication, answered the 5Ws+H questions (who, what, when, where, why, and how), and the rhetorical persuasive appeals of ethos, logos, and pathos. This was my first experience with writing a press release and I learned how many techniques and rhetorical strategies must be carried out in order to create a successful document.
