Three Examples – Skills/Knowledge
SOCL 295 – In this class I learned how to deal with talking about race and racial issues with people of another race.
SOCL 345 – In this class I saw first hand how inequality effects children’s learning experiences. An example would be a child being able to pay for a tudor if they need help, where another child could not afford the same thing(lack of resources/finances).
SOCL 410 – In this class I learned how finances plays a massive role in whether a child plays/specializes in a sport or not. For example travel sports require a lot of money to travel pay for hotels/food/equipment etc. that not everyone can afford, or has access to.
