Pearson’s Correlation

The dependent variable for this correlation was engagement of the child. This was asked in a 0-10 scale for the parents to answer with a survey. The independent variable for the following correlation was the education level of the parents. However this was recoded for the respondents to select between 0-7 responses.. Respondents could select between seven answers choices being “Some high school”, ”High school diploma or GED”, “Certification from a trade or vocational school”, “Some college”, Associates degree”, “Bachelor’s degree”, and “Graduates degree or more”. The correlation for this equals -0.0036 which is a weak negative correlation. There is no significant difference retain the null in this correlation.
