The best practices when researching for a survey consist of keeping the questions consistent and organized, also keeping the questions relevant and on topic, avoid any bias, and also avoid any negative words such as “not”. Our research for this survey includes finding whether or not family activities encourage your family to interact with each other. The following question will be used for our dependent variable “ Did this activity encourage your family to interact with one another while completing it” ? While our independent variable includes asking the parents/guardians “What is their highest level of education they received”? These are good and well written questions because they follow the guidelines of the best practices for asking research questions.
