Your Feedback Needed: Library Web Redesign

One of the things we often hear from you is that our website is a bit outdated. We agree!

We’ve been working hard to put together a redesign, and now we need your feedback. So click around and let us know what you think! It’s still a work in progress, so pieces, like the guides, haven’t been fully updated yet.

We will incorporate your ideas this summer. While the website may undergo design changes between now and when we go live, we’re especially interested in if you can find the content you need.

Beta Website

Quick facts:

  • URL of beta website: http://longwood.beta.libguides.com/home/
  • Estimated date it will go live? Sometime the first week of August, before the Fall semester begins.
  • Does it work on tablets and phones? It is responsive, meaning it is meant to work on all screen sizes.
  • How can I give feedback? Fill out our feedback form for anonymous feedback. If you’d like a reply, please email your feedback to libweb@longwood.edu.

JSTOR Titles

Most titles in the JSTOR (The Scholarly Journal Archive) database have “moving walls” which represents the time period between the last issue available in JSTOR and the most recently published issue of a journal. Publishers determine the moving wall length in their license agreements with JSTOR. Moving walls may range from zero to ten years, although most titles range between 3 and 5 years. The attached list represents the issues of print titles that Greenwood Library subscribes to that are now available in electronic format through JSTOR.

We are offering these print issues to academic departments for departmental use only. This transaction is considered to be a department to department transfer and the issues must be housed in the department. If you would like any of these issues for your department, please fill out the Interdepartmental transfer form and send it to Tammy Hines at Greenwood Library.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Tammy Hines (hinestm@longwood.edu), Head of Collections and Information Services, or Blaze Pappas (pappasbe@longwood.edu), Collections Manager.
