Before I started my second semester, I decided to take a few courses in economics to see how I felt about it possibly being my minor. During my first few weeks, Dr. PlaHovinsak worked with me since this class was revolved around macroeconomics yet I hadn’t taken microeconomics first. I caught on quickly and found that I loved learning about GDP and the Business Cycle. As Honors, we know the phrase: “It’s not more work, it’s different work,” and that’s just what it was. Unlike any other class I’ve ever taken, Dr. P had us make podcasts about economic situations. I really enjoyed reading articles and inserting information from them into my podcasts. One of my favorite ones is about how institutions play a role in the stability of a country’s economy, so take a listen below!
