As a first-year student, Longwood Seminar is mandatory, and although I thought I would hate it, it turned out to be my favorite class. I created many friendships through LSEM, but I also learned many vital lessons and facts. We talked about things from the views of civil discourse in the United States, topics brought up in Farmville Town Council, to getting around Longwood during our first year. I enjoyed writing about civil discourse the most, so I inserted a copy of my writing below.
