Reflection

Persuasive Letters are used to convince viewers and motivate them to a certain view point such as purchasing a product, donating to charity, public speaking, or paying bills. In order for a persuasive letter to be successful the written must use the possessive appeal and include actions, thoughts and feelings. These are otherwise know as ethos: appeal to authority, logos: appeal to reason, and pathos: the emotions towards the topic being discussed. In the future I hope to include more presswasive language. I hope to also include the benefits of the desires that are being despised in order to add more deatail on why this is a great opportunity.

Bad News letters are written in response to a persuasive letter. It is not essay to respond negatively to an offer although if formate correctly one can still sound professional though their writing. The most important thing to remember is to not directly say no instead make a agreeing statement to start your letter. When I construct my next bad news letter I will use the following document as a template because it is formatted correctly. I will however include language that is more positive as I focused mainly on the negative points.

Through constructing these documents I learned how to address a appropriate audience. When writing my Persuasive Letters I learned to use language that will convince my audience of the claim I am trying to make. I learned how to use ADIA in letter formate. When writing my bad news letter I learned how to professionally decline a offer without sounding rude or disrespectful.
