My dissertation research focused on the conservation of an endangered Mohave tui chub (Siphateles bicolor mohavensis) in the Mojave Desert in California. My research provided necessary information and guidelines for the recovery and down-listing of this endangered species. I examined the habitat ecology, population dynamics, and life history of this endangered fish species focusing on potential threats of invasive western mosquitofish (Gambusia affinis) by integrating field and lab experimental followed by ecological modeling. Currently we are studying the life history and body shape variation of endangered Mohave tui chub.
