Work Philosophy

My practicum was at Bacon District Elementary in Charlotte County. I really enjoyed going to the school. In the school, there were students who were in poverty. The school was old school and kind of run down. My experience with the cooperating teacher was nice she was very friendly and helpful. The students were very kind to me very open to introducing me into their classroom.

During my practicum, I learned how I want to set up my classroom and how I would want to teach. By using the RTI (Response to Intervention the Tiered process). By working with students in the class who had reading difficulties it sparked my interest in wanting to be a reading specialist. Being there for students who need a little help with their learning. The cooperating teacher’s classroom bulletin board, student center, and group work center gave me ideas of how I want my future classroom to be.
