CHEM 301 – Applying Chemistry to Society
This course will visit fundamental chemical principles, and how they can be applied to the discussion and understanding of modern societal issues such as climate, energy, water purity, recycling, food, and/or drugs. The course focus is on how science informs policies and how policies are implemented in a practical sense. Designed for students with no previous education in chemistry. Three lecture hours. Pre-requisite: Scientific reasoning pillar course.
