Biology 101 satisfied my scientific reasoning pillar. It was an interesting class and one of my easier ones the first semester. It was the first class that I’ve ever had a lab period for. One specific lab I remember was when we measured the growth of yeast.
I was always partnered up with the same three girls at my lab table, and we got to know each other pretty well from that. One of them I still remain good friends with and hung out with whenever I ran into her.
My favorite assignment from this class was the bird watching. We each were assigned a specific time to go to this bird watching site and monitor the camera for fifteen minutes and record what birds visited the bird feeder. When there was a lot of bird activity, it was fun identifying and tallying them. There was one day where a squirrel sat at the feeder the entire time I watched, which I found pretty funny.
Below is the final lab report I did on the bird data.
