Letter to Senior Self

Dear Older Ashton,

Im so very proud of everything you have accomplished throughout your years here at Longwood University. Im hoping the memories made will last a lifetime as well as everyone you have met and have become good friends with. Soon you will be graduating or will already be graduated. This means its time for you to get a job and become an active adult.  I hope you get an awesome job helping to meld those young minds for the future. Im hoping everything learned here at Longwood will help in the future like learning how to manage time better. With this comes the end of your procrastination habits hopefully. I also hope that you are still writing things down and learning to be less forgetful as well. Im hoping that these changes are being met by now because as a freshman I am currently trying to fix those said habits and learn to be better with my forgetfulness and procrastination. Im hoping by the time the future has rolled around you have contributed to the sign language club a lot more as well within the community these four years. So far as a freshman I have taken four honors classes and hope you have taken many more within the last three years or as many as you can take. I know the first year was a rough one with a lot of learning experiences that will help in the near future and I know soon that it won’t be as rough the next couple of years and I know you will get where you need to be by the end of sophomore year with very hard work and dedication which will be especially needed now that your gonna be taking six classes as a sophomore. Better get them A’s and B’s in the future as well. Im counting on my future self here so I know I’m not gonna let myself down so love you and keep building awesome relationships with people and continue to better yourself because I know there is still so much to learn.

Love,

Past Ashton
