ASL 110-01 Begin Language and Culture

• In this class we began learning sign language and learning about the culture within the deaf community. This class is very informative and fun. My friend and I tend to use sign in public at times to practice. Click the link above for an essay I wrote about  American Sign Language.

ASL 210 – 01 Begin integrated Language and culture

• In this class we learned how to integrate the signs we learned from the previous section into sentences and how to use them properly. We also learned more about the deaf community as well. Click the link above to see a essay I wrote about ethnocentrism in the deaf community.

EASC 300-01 The Dynamic Planet

• In this class we learned Earth Science and how to teach it to younger kids. It was a very informative class and I throughly enjoyed it. In the link above is our final project that I completed with a partner. Where to act like we were teaching a SOL subject to children but actually they were classmates.

MATH 309 – 03 Numeration Systems

• In this class we relearned basic math and new techniques that are being used in classrooms currently. We also learned how to be able to teach children math and how to understand what children think of math and why they use these techniques. In the link above you will find a project I did while in the class.

MATH 135 Mathematical Modeling of Finances

• In this class we learned many valuable math formulas that we would need to use as adults in society. This is the type of math that is used in life. I learned so much on finances within the class that will definitely help me in the future.

SPED 202 – 01 Intro to Special Education

• In this class we have an introduction to Special Education and what will be expected of us as teachers in the future. This class we also learn what to expect from future classes at Longwood and what we will possibly go over. In the link above you can see an assignment I had done in the class.
