The Office of Student Research (OSR) is pleased to invite faculty-student teams to apply for the 2017 Collegiate Undergraduate Research and Inquiry Opportunities (CURIO) program, a Spring semester research experience. Students will work as a research assistant on a faculty member’s research as well as develop a research proposal based on their own research. For selected teams, students receive $1000 for 100 hours of work as a research assistant and faculty receive $1500 for providing mentorship for the student’s research project.
CURIO benefits both student researchers and faculty mentors. Students gain experience working on an established research project as well as receive mentorship from an experienced faculty member. Faculty gain a research assistant as well as the opportunity to mentor an undergraduate student one-on-one.
