The Office of Student Research (OSR) invites current Longwood University undergraduate students from all programs, departments and colleges to nominate faculty. tenured and tenure-track faculty, clinical educators, lecturers, visiting professors and administrative and professional faculty with academic rank are eligible for nomination. Recipients receive an $1000 award. FEMA supports Goal 2 of Longwood University’s Quality Enhancement Plan, “to improve student learning by facilitating student-faculty collaborations in research.” It specifically supports Action 2.2, “establish competitive funding for recognizing excellence in faculty mentoring of undergraduate research.”
