This class has been my favorite. The assignments handed out throughout the entirety of the course felt as if they were all curtailed to being applicable to the world outside of academia. That factor alone did not only make me take the assignments more seriously and put forth better work but also more excited to learn while in the classroom setting. All of the assignments I am proud of despite their mistakes. This class has made me more critical of my writing in every aspect, from grammar to document design. Particularly the grammar lessons were sorely needed. The group projects were also a nice change of pace from the majority of solo-projects that are assigned in other classes. The few presentations given to the entirety of the class were also beneficial to ensure my public speaking skills didn’t get rusty.
This class reinvigorated my passion to learn as it pertains to my concentration. It also opened my perspectives to careers that I had previously never known of. I recommend it to anyone who happens to ask me about it. The practice and experience I have gained from these assignments are lessons that will stick with me throughout any written correspondence I have be it personal or professional.
