Rhetorical Analysis
Reflection: When I wrote my Rhetorical Analysis about “Sexual Assault and Rape of Women”, I used many different rhetorical strategies to support my argument. I started with my rhetorical artifact which allowed me to pull my ethos, logos, and pathos from. As I used this artifact I showed the different ways that the director of my short clip from Youtube portrayed the reality of sexual assault and rape. In order to make my argument valid, I used pathos from this video often in my rhetorical analysis. Since my topic was such a sensitive topic, using pathos is the most effective tool. After writing this paper, I realized that as a woman in society, it is always a necessity to make sure that you are aware of the situation at hand. At anytime, things can get out of control and you all of the sudden feel stuck in a situation. I wanted to make these facts clear to the audience and wanted to make sure that they understand the importance of sexual assault and rape in today’s dating society.
