Course Journal
Reflection: Over the course of the semester, I learned many different tools that have helped me with this course. I have learned more about Ethos, Pathos and Logos; and how to use them appropriately. I have also learned how to identify when other people are using them in arguments as well. I have learned different strategies that I had never even heard of before. I considered some of the readings challenging and had a hard time connecting certain terms to their definitions. One of a more challenging concept was the concept of a “medium” which was something that I had written about in one of my journals. I luckily was able to understand through reading the material and understanding the different examples. Above are some examples of 5 journal entries I completed over the course of the semester. All of these describe ways the textbook used rhetoric and how I found the information I needed to complete my assignments for the semester.
