Hello, my name is Parker Smith. I am a senior Social Work major here at Longwood University. I have been in this major since my freshman year. Being a social worker is a dream of mine and I cannot imagine doing anything else as a career. I would like to work with juvenile delinquents over anything. I have had an internship with Guggenheimer Health and Rehabilitation center during the Summer of 2018. I will be interning with Family Insight in Lynchburg in January 2019. I am looking forward to the experiences I will get to have and am looking forward to my future career. Also, a fun fact about me is that I have seven dogs at home, and one that lives with me in Farmville. Seven of the dogs are Dachshunds and we have one Weimaraner.

This e-portfolio is to show all of the work I have put in this semester in English 400. I am showing the strengths that I had over this semester and how I am able to use these in the real world. Over this course I have learned many rhetorical strategies and tools that I will be able to use over the course of my life. I am still learning how to apply all of these strategies to real life examples but I am able to understand all of the terms effectively. Many of the activities that we have done over the course of this semester has taught me many different skills. I can use many of these skills in arguments which will strengthen my argumentative skills dramatically. I have learned many different techniques that I did not know before.
