HONS 100- Honors LSEM:

  • in this transitional class, we learned the basics of Longwood and how to become a college student.

HONS 295- Honors Special Topics: Love, Sex, and Friendship

  • we analyzed common themes of love, sex, and friendship in this discussion-based class. This class taught us how to debate philosophical texts.

HONS 495- Honors Special Topics: Existentialism

  • We learned how to analyze & were taught a different way of thinking about life and our actions in this philosophy class.

ENGL 165: Honors Writing and Rhetoric

  • I learned new ways of writing and how to improve my skills in order to prepare me for life after college.

ENGL 210: Honors: 9/11 Loss & Redemption

  • This class opened my eyes to the effects of 9/11 in literature, and how different people were disproportionately affected.

ECON 217: HON Principles of Microeconomics

  • This class introduced me to economics and the importance of having a basis of knowledge.

WGST 495: HON Reproductive Justice

  • This class was extremely enjoyable; we learned all about issues facing women and their ability to reproduce. I learned many pieces of information that I can take with me into the world.

POSC 350: HON American Presidency

  • I loved this class, as we went in depth on each of the president’s terms and their significance on the office of the presidency. We learned how the executive branch affects and interacts with the others.
