Citizen 110

I took Citizen 110 in the fall semester of my freshman year, and it was my very first honors class. This class focused on how people are treated differently based on the way their bodies look. I really enjoyed this class and the information that was taught. It was very participation based which I have now learned that I really enjoy. I liked that this class wasn’t just about teaching the material, but actually understanding what happens around the world. We were all able to talk about the topics as a class, and it didn’t really feel like a lecture. The artifact I chose for this class was our final project presentation. The point of this project was to make our own class and introduce it. I really liked this project because we were able to chose a topic that we found interesting, and we could use the things we learned from the class to help us with the project. It also wasn’t as nerve racking as the first presentation, because this one was a video we turned in online, while the other was an in class presentation.
