I took English 378 my second semester of my freshman year. This class explored how race affects the way people are treated. This was probably one of my favorite classes I have taken so far in college. This was also a very discussion based class, and I loved that it didn’t have any tests, just lots of reading and discussion. The artifact I chose for this class was one of the papers I wrote. This paper addressed issues of racism while also connecting it to other issues talked about in the class. English 378 had lots of reading and analyzing that had to be done to do well on the few assignments we had, so when I received an A on my paper I felt very proud of myself for being able to do well on writing about such a deep topic.
