Resume

I have had a variety of work experiences, primarily within the restaurant industry, that have given me quite a bit of different skill sets. Some of these skill sets include time management, efficiency, quality care, preparing products, and customer service. By working in fast-paced environments, I have learned to become very detail-oriented and organized. Being both reliable and flexible was also very important within these environments as things always moved very quickly. Effective communication was a key skill to learn in this as well- otherwise momentum could be lost. These are skills I view to be quite valuable and important to have within a workplace environment- especially when working as a collective team on projects. I hope to be able to add more to these skills within my future career.

While at Longwood University, I have also held several leadership positions within my sorority Alpha Sigma Tau. These positions included Secretary, Director of Music Education, and Vice President of Member Development. In the secretary position, I was able to work with Microsoft office applications to organize and send out business information to the chapter. In the Director of Music Education and Vice President of Member Development positions, I worked as a member of the executive board and was in charge of creating experiences for the chapter that would be considered both meaningful and a learning experience. I organized and hosted a few chapter retreats at different locations; putting together a variety of activities that would help the chapter be more effective in working as a team and in communicating with each other.
