Reflection
Through completing the brochure, the sixth learning outcome, “Participate productively in collaborative projects,” was achieved. This project was worked on in a group with two other classmates. The purpose of this project was to come up with an idea for a product with our group members. We then had to design a brochure that would advertise our product and give more information to customers. We split each section into individual tasks and then evaluated each person’s section. This writing assignment allowed me to be creative and come up with a unique idea for a product and then turn that idea into writing. This was an interesting assignment for me and it helped me with another class that I had to make a brochure for. There was a challenge for me while writing the “call to action” portion of this assignment. Our product was not one that usually had a “call to action” since it was a product for children. This assignment helped me learn how to create a visually appealing and informative brochure that provides customers the information needed for a product or service.
