My time at Veritas winery was filled with constant learning, moving, and growing. I learned how the logistics behind an event, dinner, or breakfast happens. I also learned how to market myself to different audiences as well as how to make myself approachable.  Finally, I learned the bare-bones of adaptation to situations when they don’t go as expected.

As an intern at Blue Ridge Fine Properties, I learned many things while professionally developing. I learned the value of organization, gained valuable marketing experience, and learned the value behind a transaction. I also did some hands-on public relations which included coming in contact with previous clients.

Assistant Volleyball Coach | May 2019- August 2019

As an assistant volleyball coach at Grace, I learned many valuable things including how to be adaptable to situations that may not be favorable, how to phrase information to those who do not know as much as you. I further learned that being uncomfortable helps you grow the most, and that instruction should not be viewed as a negative thing.

As an intern in the Upchurch University center office of Student Activities, I helped with the logistics and marketing behind events like Family Weekend, Oktoberfest, and other events going on on campus.     • As the public relations chair for my chapter, I have been given the opportunity to organize events and promote my chapter on Longwood’s campus. I have learned how to manage my time and have gained a new understanding of what public relations truly is.
