Volunteer Experience from Sigma Kappa
My time in Sigma Kappa taught me so many things. One of which is to serve other people. As soon as I became a member of this organization, we began going and serving other people through our five philanthropies. We did things like pick up trash on the side of the road, go into nursing homes to play bingo with the residents, and organizing and participating in the Walk to End Alzheimers (picture above) as well as so many other projects.
Movers and Shakers
Before starting my senior year, I was given the opportunity to help move in Freshman right before school started. This was a great experience for me because it was not only fun to do, but it was nice getting to talk to both students and their parents and address concerns about college. Movers and Shakers was an experience I will never forget!
Grace Christian School
My favorite volunteer experience was the volleyball team I was allowed to coach the summer before starting my senior year. These girls taught me more than I taught them and I could not be happier with the progress they made as a team during the summer. These girls ranged from middle school to high school, which scared me at first but after getting into it, I knew it was going to be an experience I could not pass up.
