Problem of Evil

Historical & Contemporary or Behavioral & Social Perspectives – HONS 495

Going into this class I had no idea what to expect. I needed an honors class for the semester and the topic of the problem of evil seemed interesting. Little did I know that it was more than just a religion class, but mostly it focused on the philosophical problem of evil, something that I knew nothing about.

This class was a struggle at times. Most of the times it was due to material that were so philosophical that it went straight over my head and the fact that I am not a religious person did not help. However, it was very interesting to understand how other religions, specially Christianity, justifies evils in the world and to compare and contract it to my own views.

Attached is my final project. The final project consisted of expanding my paper on one of the topics of problem of evil, the evidential problem, and correlating it with my major of Anthropology. I focused on the Navajo Indians and how they interact with their religion.
