In this course,  I learned so much about both black literature and the history of slavery in the United States. We read upwards of 8 books throughout the semester and i thoroughly enjoyed each one. I felt as though the professor was very insightful. We had multiple assignments in this course; we had five reading response papers, a midterm, a final presentation, a literary analysis paper, and we had to come to each class with two discussion questions based on the readings.
