I fulfilled this goal with my Study abroad. The class associated with the study abroad was ENGL 445: Children’s Conflict and Culture. During this trip we spent time diving into children’s culture (and the Mediterranean Sea) focusing on what the implications of children’s literature and the culture around children says about adults. I specifically focused on the “dark side” of Children’s Literature. This really showed how much adults trust their children with intellectually and emotionally in ways that we do not see in the US.
