One of the highlights for me when we were in history class was when we learned about the family drama of William the Conqueror otherwise known as William Le Batard. It was hilarious to see the family connections (especially with the constant names repeating over and over again). A particular highlight was when Matilda the Queen of England was facing off her relative Matilda the Empress of the Holy Roman Empire (the Queen won yay!)

The picture above shows a family tree displayed by Dr. Issac that would mark the beginning of the drama that takes place both in England and in France. It was a lot of fun learning about the family and the political intrigue hopefully there will be lessons like this in my future classes.
