Reflection

History class was tons of fun! I loved the way that Dr. Issac taught my biggest problem in the class was probably getting the papers up to mark (that and trying to get through the lesson of the history of Christianity that was a long, long section of the book). It just shows that I have some improvements to make hopefully I will be able to get some more help next semester from the writing center.

This class has overall, made me a better writer through Dr. issac’s very close examination of my work and it forced me to learn how to use a comma properly and identify the various clauses. I have no doubt that the lessons I have learned in not only the class itself but also the course work will help me in the future. For example, I have come up with the sticky note method in that for every page that I have to read (for either really dense reading material or complicated plot points) I make a sticky note with the main highlights and a brief description where I can find the exact sentence. This helps keep me involved in the reading and is extremely helpful in reviewing the material in a short amount of time (I used this particular method when reading about the early Greeks and the development of Alcibiades’ career).
