Reflection:

The formal report was the most difficult assignment to complete for English 470.  The assignment given was assigned to partners to team up and create a report for a fictional company.  We were expected to work together to fabricate a presentation as a team, as well as, a report that displayed all of the research we had to compile as a team.  Our team had to divide work such as an executive summary, survey results, letters of transmittals and analysis.  After completing this assignment, I feel as though practicing collaborative skills and professional skills together has been beneficial to my development as a writer.  The formal report built upon course outcomes all of the outcomes.  I believe that after completing this assignment that I have gained experience in producing a professional document, using plain English, conducting research to create a document, creating a document that uses a standard format, practicing oral communication skills, and collaboration.
