Sample Works
The following three works represent what I have to offer as an educator.
This first piece is a rubric that I would provide to my student when peer editing for an assignment which tests the student’s knowledge of properly using, tone, voice, and vocabulary to effectively present an argument to the proper audience.
This next work is a very brief reflection that I had to write for a much longer seminar paper that I had to present. I had to recognize my own flaws when it involved purpose and audience and address how to fix them. This is important when teaching my students because it assures them that if they are having trouble conveying their purpose to their audience, it is something even their teacher once struggled with.
My final text is an informal report that I had to write for my professional writing course, and it effectivley illustrates how to write to the proper audience. The person who I would be addressing is already familiar with the issue, but I am elaborating more on that issue and how it can be resolved, just like I want my students to do.
