Creating a space for students to demonstrate how they are meeting outcomes is the first step to using e-Portfolios for assessment. You can furnish students with a list of outcomes and they build their e-Portfolios.
Each of your students will have their own portfolio. You ask them to build categories into their e-Portfolio for review. Categories may be course outcomes, GNED outcomes, etc. Students will then “post” highlights of their work that demonstrate their mastery of an outcome, reflection pieces, etc. and categorize them by your specific nomenclature.
