Longwood has allowed me to grow in community involvement. Each opportunity presented to me thus far, has had positive impacts on/in my life.

In the school year of 2017-2018, I was able to be involved in the Big Event hosted by Longwood. This is a yearly event where students go out within the community and do kind of whatever needed at their particular station. I, along with other students, got to go to the local theatre where they perform plays. I believe it was called Waterworks or something similar to that. There I cleaned the sound system room which was very dirty, but well worth it. The owners and employees were very thankful for our hard-work. A smile never left my face, even with dust covering me. I believe this opportunity helped my growth as an individual and also encouraged me to continue staying involved in the community.
