Senior capstone courses are supposed to be provided to help prepare a smooth transition of seniors into the real world or the furthering or higher education. In my senior capstone courses, I believe this was touched, but not to its fullest potential.

In 489, we focused a lot on resume, cover letter, and personal statement boostings. We also did a lot of interview situations and worked on another e-portfolio, major specific. I believe that all seniors should already have all of this completed. Meaning that, you should’ve had a decent resume in sophomore level courses because applying to schools and jobs starts as early as then! I really did not have time to do these assignments over because senior year is BUSY! Also, I think that other resources like LinkedIn are much more useful than an e-portfolio.

In 489, we really worked hard on our own senior proposals. For me, I don’t believe that this assignment will be beneficial in the career path I am chasing, but I guess it could be for others. I enjoyed the challenge though.I believe I have a better understanding of certain aspects in medicine from the background research I had to get for this project.
