Finance 250 was a good choice for me as a Math General Education goal and as a general refresher of my financial literacy. For not being known for being financially literate or being very financially literate in the first place, I did very well in this course. Professor Waller was very nice and caring. However, over the course of the semester it started to get a little dry when each class would consist of us reading over the notes from the PowerPoint word for word and then regurgitating the information for classwork and non-cumulative tests and exams. Attached to this is my Budget Project PowerPoint where I researched my career of choice and listed any job opportunities I found, created an income statement, and found housing for myself, all coinciding with the year I graduate (i.e. the rent would be calculated for inflation in 4 years, housing as well, etc.).
