Children’s Literature
I took English 380 during the fall semester of my sophomore year. The class was titled Children’s Literature and we learned about different poetry, prose, and media that we could use for elementary students.
I really enjoyed this class. Even though I was only one out of two students that took this class completing virtual while the rest of the class was in person, I still had a lot of fun. I loved being able to read plenty of children’s books and then be able to take those books into classroom discussions. It was really interesting being able to hear everyones thoughts and observations of the books. Also, I really liked how our professor allowed us to choose one of the books that we wanted to base our powerpoint presentation on. We had three powerpoint presentations to make that semester and for one of our powerpoints we were able to choose which book we wanted to base that powerpoint on. For my presentation, I chose my favorite children’s book that we read which was The Baby-Sitters Club. I attached two pictures from my powerpoint presentation.
