Course Journal Entries

These journal reflections were especially helpful because they allowed me to analyze famous rhetorical works and really get a sense of what is successful and not as successful as well. As you can see, my entries got more professional upon first glance because I realized my ethos would be hindered if there wasn’t a professional look, which is a direct tie to the third class outcome. What I did well on was probably the fourth class outcome. I was able to look back at my work and see that, when appropriate, logos was my strongest literary strategy present. I feel very confident when I have facts to back up what I’m saying, and I reflect that in my writing, such as when I wrote, “Hitler puts a heavy concentration on generalizing the enemy as 1 type rather than being divisive about who is and who isn’t an enemy. This strategy is used, “because to weak and unstable characters the knowledge that there are various enemies will lead only too easily to incipient doubts as to their own cause.” (Burke, p 193).” in my journal entry on Mein Kampf.
